Goal: Creating both a concept of and a model for the development of an international bibliographical system for the citation of publications in LGBTIQ subjects.
Project Goal: Creation of a bibliographical system and an initial bibliography, as well as expanding and furthering the purview of the available and cited LGBTIQ publications.
Target Groups: Academics, scholars, and students on international level (both in and out queer and LGBTIQ studies); LGBTIQ people (direct beneficiaries); and the general public (in/direct beneficiaries).
Project Objectives:
1. Heightening and expanding the LGBTIQ community's and the general public's knowledge and awareness for related interests and problems and the gradual enrichment of areas and disciplines that deal with and/or study LGBTIQs.
2. Giving the LGBTIQs themselves and the general public the opportunity to enrich and contribute to the bibliography by way of referring publications already available.
Activities:
1. Finding and studying Bulgarian and international standards and conventions for bibliographical citing of type and electronic editions.
2. Choosing a bibliographical methodology.
3. Creating an initial bibliography (list of references).
4. Creating a website for the project.
5. Making a useful and understandable user-friendly submission form as to expand the bibliography by way of referring.
6. Publication of gathered references within the created website as a bibliography made according to the chosen methodology.
7. Acquainting the general public and all other related parties with the project (other web-spaces, institutions, and individuals).
Budget: None.
Results by August 2007:
1. Bibliographical methodology chosen.
2. Initial bibliography made.
3. Website and web-design provision.
4. Publication of the initial bibliography.
5. Disseminating information for the project through internet and interested institutions, organizations, and individuals.
